From Intel’s Inventor of the Year
“At Intel I participated and had access to the finest tools in the world.  I spent 4 days with SuperLab-its training, assessment and design.  SuperLab’s processes and tools are every bit as good as anything I’ve experienced to date-our team had some remarkable breakthroughs and our investor’s ratcheted-up their investments.”

From an Entrepreneur-in-Lab Program Graduate

Now that we are two years out from our work with SuperLab’s EIL Program, I can evaluate the EIL Program’s processes and SuperLab’s tools with what has actually happened since the work.

Today our Company is doing business with one of the world biggest Korean Consumer Electronics companies.

I have read, for the first time, the Assessor Report provided by SuperLab to the Fund managers two years ago.  It is interesting to me that SuperLab’s Assessment Report appears now to be a very accurate prediction of our best path and probable final results which appear to be substantial returns for all shareholders.  I was impressed with SuperLab’s DesignLab process two years ago which our principals participated in for two days.  To co-design our go-to-market plan with the Fund’s investors and the domain experts provided by the EIL Program’s process accelerated our planning and funding.  More importantly, now that I look back, it provided our Company’s principals with valuable models to use on a going forward basis as well.

Our Company will always be indebted to the early efforts, interest, investment and advice given our Company in summer 2007.

From Ernst & Young Consulting Director
As former Technology Director for Ernst & Young and having worked in Ernst & Young’s Accelerated Solutions Environment, I am very familiar with the challenges of designing and facilitating the Group Genius™ work with a very tough business launch assignment.  SuperLab’s processes and mastery of the dynamics of Group Genius™ processes was plainly evident.  SuperLab accomplished in two days what Ernst & Young’s Group Genius takes 3 days to accomplish.”

From UCSD’s von Liebig Center Tech Transfer Division Director
“I have many years of experience in high technology, building start-up and early stage operations and managing growth companies, I began my career at HP in product management, and have repeatedly established new product categories based on evolving technologies, and successfully created and developed new markets for these hardware and software products worldwide.  I am please to provide my thoughts on the value and experience of going through the assessment process with the WebFlows team at the von Liebig Center in the UCSD Jacobs School of Engineering in late 2005.

The WebFlows team understood the “best practices” logic of the SuperLab Assessor.  Your report was exhaustive and complete.  The founders of the WebFlows venture appreciated the debriefing session and the session brought greater clarity to the final report.  The participants commented that it would have been of even greater value if the company had participated at an earlier stage.

At the conclusion of our assessment I had suggested that SuperLab’s Assessor be transformed into training modules and be delivered to the project teams at UCSD as part of their initial investigation of commercialization potential and possibilities.  This might accelerate and improve the assessment of the commercial value and significance of their work and ideas, and identify the strategies available to them.

I have recommended to other start up teams that they should investigate the SuperLab’s assessment, and am recommending another UCSD venture plan to work Mark and in the next 90 days.”

From National Investment Banker Director
“Houlihan, Smith & Company, Inc. is a specialized investment banking firm that also provides advisory and due diligence services to other venture capital firms, investment banking and broker-dealer firms nationwide.  I had the opportunity to experience SuperLab’s brand of Group Genius™ in April 2000.  Given the assignment at hand, I was extremely skeptical of any constructive progress or tangible results.  What I experienced was quite the contrary.  In just two days the 15 companies that were part of the Group Genius™ work understood each other, had some breakthrough strategies, secured amazing alignment, had a working plan for the next four months and a complete 50 page Group Genius™ Journal that documented the two days of work.  Everyone was impressed and they look forward to utilizing SuperLab in the future.”

From Healthcare Information Software President
“SuperLab performed its assessment process on our first product late last year. (2005).  The assessment results were helpful for clarifying the strengths and weaknesses of our first offers.

SuperLab performed a 4 hour design session at our offices in order to map out the production flow between our technology, marketing and administrative teams.  This went very well – brought instant clarity for the team.  Evidence of our work is still hanging on our walls – our production schedule touchstone.

SuperLab performed an 8 hour DesignLab session with our team just prior to the company’s first board of advisor’s meeting.  I thought the DesignLab was a huge success for many reasons.  First it allowed our software developers a chance to envision the future innovation track for our product.  Secondly the DesignLab exercises allowed our team to learn and integrate the SuperLab archetype models.  The competitor analysis work during DesignLab was especially effective.  Several of the charts and maps from DesignLab hang in my office and I refer to them often.  Many of the issues called out in DesignLab are coming full circle.  I am glad I addressed them when I did.

The work product from DesignLab that I used during our first board meeting was very appreciated by the board.  They commended openly, as you know, that they had not seen a start up company so advanced in addressing key issues.  SuperLab enabled this.

Of particular value to me has been the insight provided by learning the new venture theory models (archetypes) SuperLab deploys.  For example, our company was able to envision rather quickly the potential we have for a second generation product line developed off the Disruptive Innovation archetype.  One of our next modules of work with SuperLab will be a DesignLab for the purpose of designing such a Disruptive Innovation-based product.”

From Venture Capitalist
“Our firm, The Paradigm Group, is a venture capital firm in Salt Lake City.  I experienced SuperLab’s Group Genius™ work and found the processes produced amazing creativity in such a short timeframe.  The issues facing the participants in my Group Genius™ work were daunting.  In just two days, we powered through one tough issue after another.  The exercises and flow of work as designed by SuperLab’s staff were superb.  I am a believer in this way of working to get fast and creative resolution to deep, tough issues.”

From Video Analytics Software President – ex Cisco Manager
“We are happy to provide this letter explaining the experience and value our company and I personally have had with SuperLab.  As you know, my experience prior to forming Avisere, a video analytics software start-up, was with Cisco, managing Sales & Marketing in Europe, Middle East and Africa for the Small/Medium Businesses Line-of-Business.  Avisere’s Chief Technology Officer and my co-founder, Dr. Tinku Acharya is an ex-Intel executive and twice Intel’s world-wide inventor of the year.

Our first contact with SuperLab was at the insistence of Sausalito Capital Partners (SCP).  SCP wanted Avisere to go through SuperLab’s assessment process since SCP was considering making an investment in Avisere.

Myself and Tinku Acharya spent three hours at SuperLab.  This first experience plus some reading of SuperLab’s white papers convinced both of us that SuperLab had a very unique, valuable and timely platform of new venture theory and assessment tools.  The final assessment reports were easy to understand and provided us a very insightful S.W.O.T. analysis of our company.  It also triggered SCP to sign an investment term sheet with Avisere and move forward with another DesignLab session.

In October the full LearningLab and DesignLab sessions SuperLab conducted for Aveiser in Stockholm, Sweden exceeded everyone’s expectations.  My investors in Sweden which include angels, venture firms and investment bankers were all in attendance, as well as members of other supplier companies in our value chain.  As you know, our investors were so impressed with the first two days of DesignLab that they hired SuperLab for two more days of work immediately: validating new findings and providing many more take-a-ways.

The focus and clarification LearningLab and DesignLab brought to the team was impressive.  The way DesignLab popped out a next generation product idea that everyone was so excited about was truly amazing.  The work flow was brilliantly designed and there was never a disappointing moment or comment from everyone.

Tinku and I have had some of the finest resources, strategy and planning processes at Cisco and Intel respectively.  I would have to say the SuperLab’s training, assessment and DesignLab tools and processes are every bit as good as anything I’ve experienced to date.  However, what really makes SuperLab a unique and powerful advantage for emerging technology companies is the specialization SuperLab has crafted for emerging – venture backed start-ups.

If anyone would like to talk to me personally about these matters, please fell free to have them contact me.”

From Keiretsu Forum Angel Investor
“I have had a long fortunately successful career as a businessman and as an angel investor.  In 2007 as a member of the Keiretsu Forum angel organization, I participated in a small fund set up to test-run SuperLab’s assessment and DesignLab systems.  I witnessed first hand the assessment and design processes of SuperLab.

The work SuperLab performed met everyone’s highest expectations.  It is my opinion the SuperLab’s processes can bring about a 35%+ increase in performance for an investor’s selection process.  In other words SuperLab’s processes provide a 35% increase in my chances of selecting a winning venture to bet on.”
