SuperLab exists to help companies “increase”  and "accelerate” their returns on their “front-end” innovation efforts to grow their business.


For the last 6 years SuperLab has been riding the wave of scientific-method based practices right to the shore of business model concept design.  Our consulting and investment firm clients have all surfed this same scientific-method wave for their current product development, go-to-market and portfolio management tools.    And although product cycle time has been cut in half in the last 10 years the profitability of new products remains unchanged according to a 2004 Product Development and Marketing Association study.

For new-to-the world products cycle time was reduced from 41.7 months in 1995 to 24 months in 2004.  The dramatic decrease in cycle time shows the impact of scientific method-based product development processes, practices and technologies – but it is interesting to note that reducing cycle time in product development time did not improve the profitability of products.”
